DIISSC ORCHESTRA »Venta«
DIISSC orchestra is a collective of professional composers (Jonas Jurkunas, Antanas Jasenka, Vytautas V. Jurgutis, Martynas Bialobzeskis), which was founded in 2008. The aim of composers is to present and remix their own and foreign composers’ music. The name of the collective was designed to imitate stuck CD sound, which gives listener a clue that most of the time composers use CD players. Recently computer and other electronic instruments are used quite often. All the performances are live. DIISSC orchestra’s music could be labeled as live-electronic, noise, acousmatic, music concrete because the main source of sounds is noise, ambient and various rhythmic combinations. During most of the performances visual materials are included. Composition »Venta« (2012) is designed for an old electronic instrument. It is amed to show the capacity of Venta in 21st century using different timbre and instruments.
