Jan Bang and Robert Jürjendal create pastel tones in their ambient improvisations while combining the possibilities of guitar and electronics. The developer of live remix concept and founder of Punkt Festival Jan Bang and guitarist Robert Jürjendal met in 2010 and since then their roads seem to be crossing again and again. In 2011 they performed together at the Estonian music festival in London Eesti Fest, as well as on stage at Punkt Tallinn. In September Robert Jürjendal’s Weekend Guitar Trio performed at Punkt in Norway in the festival’s home town Kristiansand. This year’s festival’s program was curated by Brian Eno.
Norwegian Jan Ban is one of the most sought after producers and electron musicians; Punkt Festival – founded by Bang – is one of the trendsetters in the world of improvisational music.
Robert Jürjendal is a versatile musician, teacher, organizer, mostly known as a guitarist in Trio Fragile, weekend Guitar Trio and UMA as well as folk ambient trio Suurõ Pilvõ.
